Hi all. I just embedded PoSmedley's song She Walks on Stardust. Well, apparently it is a violation of Security Sandbox error # 2060.

Please do not try to play the song it will crash your putor...... for real. Sorry folks. Thought it would have been nice.   Sorry Po.

Update: I recovery restored and there was the link when I returned. I tried it and it works perfect. Enjoy folks.

I love happy endings.

And I'm glad you enjoyed it. He is talented.

Doing okay, Anna, I believe I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel finally (the endless cycle of work, hospital and a couple hours sleep thrown in from time to time). My girlfriend had her last (of 6) surgery last Wednesday so maybe now the healing process can begin. Three out of four limbs shattered will take awhile to mend but just as long as she'll eventually be able to walk again, it's all good. (Even not, she's alive so it's still all good) It sure has given me a new perspective on things though...as many accidents as I investigated with the state, I didn't get to see what happens and what folks have to go through after the dust settles until now. Guess instead of perspective though I should say appreciation....

Accidents... I lost my 13 year old brother to a drunk driver.  Needless to say, I nor anyone who leaves here, does so without a designated driver, if there is any drinking. I was a little girl.  But, sometimes that is exactly what they are. Accidents. I'm sorry to hear about your gal.  She is healing faster with your support. What your doing is perfect. I wish there were more like you,  Take care.

Sorry to hear about your lady Nav. Hang in there buddy. The good part is she's on the mend and soon back where she belongs.

on Feb 25, 2011

Hey Nav, I really hope your lady gets back to being whole again real soon.... and I hope she's walking again real soon

I was in her shoes a few years back, multiple fractures, broken back and got told they'd have to take my right leg...

I said "take it from here if you have to" and pointed to my throat.... I kept my leg and I've been walking for 35 years since.

It took a lot of surgery, physio and rehabilitation over 5 and a bit years, but I was determined to get mobile under my own steam

It hurts like a bitch getting around some days, now I'm older and have associated arthritis, but I'll be buggered if I'm giving up my independence for a wheelchair any time soon.

If I can walk 'til I'm 90 I'm sure going to.... then I might consider the wheelchair, if'n I gits me a real purdy nurse t' push it

Here's hoping the recovery is swift and total, Nav. At her age, the body heals very quickly. Sorry to hear of it the other day.

Thanks folks! And I'm not complaining, I've been on this blue ball long enough to know shit happens...just answering why I've been kinda scarce lately.

@Anna - Let me guess, the scumbag drunk walked away with minor injuries because that's usually what happens in a dd related fatality. I have 0 tolerance for drunk drivers and it's something that can't be justified or rationalized no matter how hard they try after the fact. Even though it won't bring your brother back, I hope they nailed his (or her) ass good!

@Uvah - Thanks, bro, I appreciate you, my friend...

@Starkers - You can't keep a good man down and I really admire your attitude, my friend. I'm stubborn as a damn mule myself and sometimes that's all you need to get through. (and a good sense of humor helps too...and a real purdy nurse don't hurt)

@Doc - Thanks Doc. I suppose you've seen the other side of the coin more times than you can count so I appreciate the insight, my friend.

As long as that Nurse is named Mrs. Starkers, ok.  If she's not, you'd better watch your six when you get home...

Determination, stubbornation ....  don't matter so long as it does the trick.

Besides, there's only a very thin line between determination and stubbornness anyhow

If she's not, you'd better watch your six when you get home...

Um, it ain't my six anymore.... shrunk with age and now it's only four.

Like, are we even talkin' about the same thing here?

Proof you can be stubborn as a mule without being hung like a.....never mind.

Yeah, I know what watching your six means, but I had to throw in the other possibility for a giggle.

Hehe, I might have on my headstone....
